Compliance
AML & KYC Policy
NovaTrade operates a risk-based programme to prevent money laundering, terrorist financing and sanctions breaches.
Customer identification
Every account holder must submit their legal name, date of birth, country of residence, address and a government identity document before withdrawing funds. Submissions are reviewed by our compliance team, and the account's verification state is recorded on the profile.
Risk-based due diligence
Accounts are risk-scored on jurisdiction, funding pattern and transaction behaviour. Higher- risk profiles receive enhanced due diligence, which may include source-of-funds evidence before large deposits or withdrawals are released.
Ongoing monitoring
Deposits, withdrawals and trading activity are monitored continuously. Unusual patterns raise an internal risk flag for manual review, and an account may be restricted while a review is open.
Sanctions screening
Customers are screened against applicable sanctions and politically-exposed-person lists at onboarding and periodically thereafter. We do not onboard customers in prohibited jurisdictions.
Reporting and record keeping
Suspicious activity is reported to the relevant authority where required, and we do not tip off the customer. Identification and transaction records, along with an immutable audit log of every administrative action, are retained for the statutory period.
Governance
Compliance staff operate independently of the trading desk, and privileged operations such as balance adjustments, deposit approvals and withdrawal releases require an authorised role and are permanently logged.
